Voice note to email
Send a voice note to email.
Say who it's for. Done.
One tap from any screen, talk, tap Toss. The note lands in the inbox you named, as an email with a transcript and a subject line you can search. No recorder app, no share menu, no typing addresses.
Your inboxes
- Me
- Work
- Todoist
See it work
Sixteen seconds, from thought to inbox.
- Tap. The mic, the widget or the Quick Settings tile.
- Say who it's for. For work, the client call moved to Thursday.
- Toss. It lands in the Work inbox with a subject, a summary and the transcript.
The usual way
Six steps for one thought.
Android can already email a recording. It just takes long enough that you stop doing it.
Recorder + Gmail
- 01Open the Recorder app and record.
- 02Stop, and wait for it to save.
- 03Tap Share, then pick Gmail.
- 04Type the address. Every time.
- 05Write a subject, or send it as “Recording 47”.
- 06Send, and hope you can find it later.
With Toss
- 01Tap the widget. Or the Quick Settings tile, from any screen. No app to open, no unlock-and-search.
- 02Talk. Start with who it is for: “For work, …”. Up to a minute.
- 03Tap Toss. It is in that inbox seconds later, with a subject line you can search.
✓ Three steps, from whatever screen you are on.

Spoken routing
Not just to you. To anything with an email address.
Give each address a name once. After that, the first words of the note decide where it goes:For work, For Claire, For support,. No other voice app routes a note by what you say.
Your own inbox
Reminders to yourself that actually arrive where you look every morning.
A colleague or partner
Name a destination “Claire” and “For Claire, …” lands in her inbox, from you.
Your task manager
Todoist, Trello, Asana and most task tools have an email-in address. The note becomes a task.
Your helpdesk or ERP
Zendesk, Freshdesk, Odoo: anything that turns an email into a ticket, a lead or a record.
Set up in two minutes
- 1. Install Toss from Google Play and sign in with Google. Your Google address becomes your first inbox.
- 2. Add the widget to your home screen, or the Toss tile to Quick Settings.
- 3. Add destinations (Pro): a name and an email address each. Then just say the name.

Frequently asked questions
How do I send a voice note to email on Android without an app?
Record it in your phone’s Recorder app, tap Share, choose your email app, type the address and send. It works, but it takes six steps, the subject is a file name, and you have to listen to the whole thing again to know what it was about. Toss does the same in one tap, and on Pro adds a transcript and a real subject line.
Who does the email come from?
From “Your name via Toss” at toss@tossit.app, with Reply-To set to your own address. When someone replies, the reply comes to you.
Will the email include a transcript?
On Pro, yes: a cleaned transcript, a short summary and a tagged subject line, with the original audio attached if you want it. On Free the recording is attached as an audio file. Every install starts with 14 days of Pro, no card needed.
Can I send a voice note to someone else’s email?
Yes. On Pro you add named destinations (a person, a team, a tool) and either pick one or say its name at the start of the note. Free sends everything to your one default inbox.
Does it work with Todoist, Notion, Trello…?
With anything that has an email-in address: Todoist, Trello, Asana, Odoo, Zendesk, Freshdesk and most helpdesks and CRMs. Notion has no email-in, so it needs a small Zapier, Make or n8n step in between. See email routing.
How long can a voice note be?
Up to a minute. Long enough for a real thought, short enough that you will actually send it.
What if I have no signal?
The note is saved on your phone at once and sent as soon as you are back online. Nothing is lost.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Toss is Android-only for now.
Your next voice note is already in the right inbox.
Free to start. 14 days of Pro included, no card.
