Frequently asked questions
How long can a voice note be?
Up to a minute. That is long enough for a real thought and short enough that you will actually send it.
Do I have to open the app to record?
No. Add the Toss widget to your home screen or the Toss tile to Quick Settings. One tap from any screen and you are recording. Long-press the Toss icon for the same shortcut. Available on Free and Pro.
Does it work while driving?
Tap the widget or the Quick Settings tile, talk, tap Toss. On Pro, with ✨ Auto selected (it is, every time you start recording), saying “For work, …” means you never look at the screen to pick a destination. Please keep your eyes on the road anyway.
What do I get on the free plan?
Voice notes are sent as an email with the audio file attached, to your one default inbox. Transcription, AI summaries and named destinations are Pro.
Which languages are supported?
Transcription auto-detects the language you speak. You can pin one in Settings if you always capture in the same language.
