What happened
Every email Toss sends has a Stop sending captures to this address link at the bottom. When the recipient uses it, Toss stops sending your notes to that address. Nothing else changes: your other destinations keep working.
Only the recipient can undo this. It protects the people who receive your notes. You can’t switch it back on yourself, but Toss can ask them for you.
How you notice
- The destination’s pill shows an orange ⚠. So does its row in Settings → Email destinations, marked Unsubscribed.
- Tap the destination: Toss explains why nothing is sent there, instead of sending a note that would fail.
- A note that was refused shows Not sent: … asked to stop receiving your notes in History.
How to get it back
- Ask the recipient. Tap the destination, then Ask to receive again. Toss sends them one email with a button. Once they confirm, your notes go through again. You can ask once every 30 days for each address.
- If the address is yours, for example your work inbox or a tool’s email-in address: open the email Toss sends there and confirm.
- If you unsubscribed by mistake, the page that confirmed it has an Undo button and a link to keep for later.
Then send your note again: open it in History and tap Retry send.
Nobody clicked the link. Why did it happen?
Some company mail systems and security scanners open every link in incoming email to check it. Toss used to unsubscribe as soon as the link was opened, so a scanner could do it without anyone noticing. The link now asks for a click on a button first, so scanners can’t do that anymore.
If one of your destinations stopped receiving notes for no clear reason, this is probably why: use Ask to receive again.
Notes in the meantime
Notes to an unsubscribed address aren’t sent, and they aren’t kept for later. Send them to another destination, or retry them from History once the recipient has confirmed.
